Bodywork Restoration 2018

She had a full undercarriage and bodywork check carried out by Jeff's experienced team. Underneath she was still in great shape - due partly to the belly panels keeping those hard to reach places clean, dry and free from rust. At her 2024 MoT the technician commented on how much better she was underneath than most vans he see's!
The main replacements were: the cab doors (a set came over from the US) and the sliding door . The cab floor, rear tubs, front inner and outer sills, battery trays, belly pans, jacking point outriggers were replaced. Where the window cut outs were not recoverable, complete new panels were welded in and new windows cut. Aside from that she had patch repair work. The front wheel arches had been replaced a few years previous so were left but they are showing some paint bubbling.
With all of the bodywork completed she went off to the paint shop. She was fully prepped back to bare metal before being primed and top coated inside and out.
The refit included: German quality seals for windows and doors, fuel filler elbow, fuel lines, heater cable, throttle cable, new tie rods.
She was fully undersealed.
